Applus+ IDIADA UK has joined the SMMT, the NMI and AESIN associations with a view to using these organisations for networking and as opportunity generators.

The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) exists to support and promote the interests of the UK automotive industry at home and abroad.Working closely with member companies, SMMT acts as the voice of the motor industry, promoting its position to government, stakeholders and the media.
SMMT addresses the major issues that impact on the automotive sector: competitiveness, consumer protection, education, environment, globalization, legislation and new technology.

NMI recognises the vital role of the UK in a World critically dependent on Electronic Systems. Their mission is to increase the quality and quantity of electronic engineering and manufacturing in the UK.AESIN
The Automotive Electronic Systems Innovation Network (AESIN) is operated by NMI . The initiative is focused on the accelerated and advanced delivery of Electronic Systems into automotive applications and infrastructure. The organization aims to facilitate world-beating innovation through collaborative innovation, expert knowledge and best practice sharing.Core management board includes leading vehicle manufacturers such as: Jaguar Land Rover, Lotus, Nissan, McLaren and representation from each tier in the supply chain.
The AESIN Automotive Capability Directory will be a high value resource for the industry, helping locate the right suppliers to help speed up the rate of innovation and help promote/showcase the wealth of excellent capability the UK has already established.
